About this plant 01
A delicate annual wild geranium with small, deeply divided leaves that turn bright red in sun or stress, and tiny five-petalled pink-purple flowers. Has a distinctive musky smell when bruised. Self-seeds freely and can form dense carpets in moist shaded spots.
Notes for working with it 02
Dense growth near shrub bases can reduce airflow — thin to 20–30% cover near other plants. Self-seeds prolifically; deadhead if spread is unwanted.
